Insecurity: Terror Attacks May Start Another War In Nigeria – OPC

Recurring terrorist assaults in Nigeria, according to the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), could lead to another war.

After learning of a terrorist plot to attack certain states in the nation, the group issued the warning.

Boko Haram, ISWAP, and bandit groups were preparing to launch attacks, according to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

They are aiming for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, as well as the states of Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kogi, and Lagos.

If the terrorists were to strike the Southwest, they would face fierce resistance, according to the OPC.

Publicity Secretary Yinka Oguntimehin decried the new invasion of Owo in Ondo State in a statement on Thursday.

Attacks, he said, are “signs of an oncoming war capable of driving Nigeria to the brink.”

The spokesperson charged that the federal government “failed to respond” and gave the appearance that it was overtaken by the security issues.

“Due to the escalating insecurity, public schools in Abuja, Nasarawa State, and several other areas are closing.

“The issue is growing worse as murder rates rise. The governors of the Southwest must act quickly before it’s too late.

The statement continued, “We should not take the terrorists’ threats lightly; we must take action right away.”
