TESCOM Ogbomoso Loses Supervisor At 55 Years

The Oyo State Post Primary School Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Ogbomoso zonal office, Oja-Tuntun, has lost a supervisor, Mrs. Victoria Oyedokun, to the cold hands of death.

Mrs. Oyedokun, who clocked 55 years last December, according to a family source, died Monday morning, during a brief illness at the Bowen University Teaching Hospital (BUTH), Ogbomoso. It is learnt she was placed on admission about a week ago.

The late Oyedokun was redeployed to the TESCOM zonal office in March after having served as class teacher and vice principal at Owode Community Grammar School, Oke-Owode.

When ogbomosoinsightonline.com visited her residence at Best Legacy College area, many sympathizers were there who came to condole with the family.

Many of her colleagues described her as “a good and quiet woman, who bore people’s problem as her own.”

Mr. Timothy Akinola, a teacher at Owode Community Grammar School, said, “Her death is painful, she lived quietly, never able to hurt a fly. She embraced people, a peacemaker and a good counselor. She always demonstrated human feelings, highly empathetic and was exceptionally prudent with money, relied on exceedingly by her bosses to manage finances, we will miss her.”

She is survived by her husband, Rev’d Dr Dele Oyedokun, Minister-in-Charge of Word of Life Baptist Church, High School area, and who is a Permanent Secretary (Inspector General) with the Oyo state Ministry of Education (Igboho zone); children and parents.

Funeral arrangements yet to be announced.
