We cannot stand idly by as our heritage, unity, and identity are threatened by this insidious plot.
The time to act is NOW! Every monarch, leader, and citizen of Ogbomoso must rise up in unison to defend our city against this treacherous scheme. We must not allow Ogbomoso to be marginalized, overshadowed, or relegated to the sidelines. Our very existence is at stake, and we must fight back with all our might.

It is important to set the record straight and highlight the significance of Ogbomoso in comparison to the proposed Iseyin, even though it’s an effort in futility for whoever is behind this.
It is crucial to note that Ogbomoso city is five times larger than the proposed town in terms of both population and development (PLEASE FACT CHECK ME). In fact, Ogbomoso was designated and approved at the national CONFAB as the capital of the proposed new Oyo state far back in 1994 by the federal government (Please see the attached Image) . However, political maneuvering at that time led to loss of opportunity.
Ogbomoso, with a population of over a million inhabitants, is the second-largest city in Oyo state and the third most populated in the entire southwest region after Lagos and Ibadan. It is inconceivable to suggest any community in Oyo state before Ogbomoso.
Ajileté, strategic location at the intersection of major cities such as Ilorin, Oyo, Ibadan, Osogbo, Igbeti, and others makes it an ideal choice for a state capital. We urge our representatives at the federal legislative houses, such as Sen. Fatai Buhari and Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, to stand up for Ogbomoso and oppose this divisive bill.
Do you know that the proposed bill not only undermines the unity of Ogbomoso but also seeks to fragment our community by suggesting that different parts of Ogbomoso should be divided among other regions as it suggests Ogbomoso South and Ogbomoso North LGA should be in their proposed Oke-Ogun while Ogooluwa, Surulere and Oriire LGA in Ogbomoso should go with Old Oyo state. This bill is not only misleading but also detrimental to the interests of Ogbomoso and its people. We reject this bill in its entirety and call for a united front to protect the integrity and unity of Ogbomoso.
