BREAKING: Olubadan of Ibadan Owolabi Olakulehin is not dead

Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland is alive and not dead.
The rumors of Olubadan’s death began circulating on social media on Monday evening.
However, Michael Ogunsina, the Oyo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson, in a terse statement, said he spoke with the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Oyo State, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, who confirmed that the monarch is not dead.
The statement shared by a prominent X user, Akin Akinwale reads; “I just spoke with the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Oyo State, & he has confirmed to me that Kabiesi Olubadan Oba Owolabi Olakulehin is alive, hale and hearty. Kindly ignore the purveyors of fake news. Olorun a bá wà di Baba mú”.
Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin was crowned as the 43rd Olubadan on July 12, 2024.
He succeeds the 42nd King Oba Mahood Lekan Balogun who died on 14 March 2024 at 81.
