2023: Amid PDP crisis, Wike promises to support Peter Obi’s campaign in Rivers (Video)

Amid the ongoing crisis in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has pledged to provide logistical support to the campaign of Labor Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.
Governor Rivers made the announcement Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the launch site of the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo flyover in the state capital Port He Harcourt, former Anambra Governor.
Calling Obi a “very humble man,” Wyke said he has the qualities to rule Nigeria.
Governor said: As state government, we also provide logistical support for his actions. “
“Anytime you want to campaign in the state, let me know and I’ll provide all the logistical support we provide you,” Wyke told Obi. Obi and vice-presidential candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed were in Port Harcourt to commission the current government’s ninth launch.
And they were welcomed by a horde of followers known as the Obedient Ones.
Wyke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), commonly known as the G-5 governors, and his four other disgruntled governors seek their national leader, Dr. Iyorkia Ayu.
This put them in conflict with his PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
