The Ogbomoso Book Drive Challenge was organized by Value Initiative NG in honor of International Education Day in 2024

Young people who are committed to leadership development, capacity building, and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals in their local communities make up Value Initiative NG.

A initiative called the Book Drive Challenge was started by VALUE INITIATIVE NG to encourage young people to ask for the donation of books and the refurbishing of used textbooks and other stationery for various secondary schools in Ogbomoso.

In order to see at least 500 kids and pupils receive a single book, it is intended that children contribute their own quotas.

Yesterday at Soun High School in Ogbomoso, following months of planning and collaboration, history was created.

We are excited to share the details of a special initiative we have in honor of International Education Day 2024, which reflects the spirit of learning and community engagement.

As previously stated, yesterday, January 24, 2024, at Soun High School in Ogbomoso, we conducted our incredible School Outreach and Book Drive with the goal of changing lives via the gift of knowledge and book contributions.

We started a drive to gather 500 books for underprivileged pupils in December of last year. These books not only helped them succeed academically but also encouraged a lifelong passion of learning. We consider it a fundamental right to have access to high-quality education, and therefore we believe that access to quality education is a fundamental right, and this drive is our way of contributing to a brighter future for all.

A few people sent in their old textbooks, a few donated notebooks, and we also received books from the Beauty with Brain Initiative, Creative Raisers Network, and a few well-known people like Mc Daface and Com. Olasunkanmi Alao.

Through interactive sessions, educational workshops, motivational speeches, and SDG orientation, the School Outreach program creates an atmosphere where students are encouraged to dream big and strive to realize their dreams.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this wonderful cause. Your participation, whether in the form of book donations, volunteer work, or word-of-mouth marketing, has enabled us to have a major influence.

And what better way to commemorate International Education Day than by ensuring that every kid has access to education?
