Soun Reacts To Killing Of Pastor Along Ogbomoso – Iseyin Road, Handover Suspect To The Police

Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye has assured family of the clergyman killed Monday by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Gege village along Ogbomoso – Iseyin road in Oyo state that he will ensure justice is done.

Star Potter reports that Evangelist Segun Adegboyega, founder of a ministry was stabbed to death by suspected herdsmen who reportedly invaded his farm at Gege village near Ogbomoso with grazing cattle.

He was said to have been murdered in cold blood after he questioned the damage to his farm.

However, other villagers succeeded in apprehending the herdsmen – three of them – whom they took to the palace of Soun.

Oba Olaoye expressing sympathy said he would work with security agents to get justice for the family of the deceased.

“As your father, I wish to say, this is a ugly situation and it’s uncalled for. I have spoken my mind to the Area Commander (of Owode Police headquarters), who is here with me and I want to assure you that justice would be served,” the monarch stated.

“I equally sympathize with every one of you, may God continue to watch over you and the entire land of Ogbomoso.”

In the meantime, the three suspected herdsmen had been moved into the custody of the Area Commander, Owode Police headquarters, who disclosed they would be transfered to Ibadan immediately, “due to the nature of the case.”
