Ondo Government Restricts Okada Operations,Bans Night Clubbing
The operations of commercial motorcycle riders throughout the state of Ondo as well as nightclub activities in its 18 local government units are both prohibited by an order from the state government of Ondo.
A crackdown on unregistered vehicles and vehicles without tinting permits was also announced by the authorities.
The ruling states that motorcycle operations after 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and activity in nightclubs after midnight. won’t be authorised in the state anymore.
This information was released in a statement on Tuesday by Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, the Commander of the Amotekun Corps and the Special Adviser on Security Matters to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Adeleye insisted that security personnel in the state would strictly follow the order.
“Law enforcement agencies are to recommence enforcement of the following laws: usage of vehicles with tinted glasses without a permission; unregistered automobiles; and use of sticker number plates in place of stickers permitted by car dealerships.
Therefore, the security agencies are hereby ordered to seize any such motorcycles and vehicles while the owners or riders are being investigated for crimes.
