JUST IN: Max Air CEO, Bashir Mangal is dead

The Chief Executive officer of Max Air, Bashir Mangal, is dead.

According to a statement made available today by the media consultant to the airline said Mangal died in the early hours of Friday, December 23, 2022.

The statement read in part, “Inna lillahi wa inna Ilaihi rajiun, this is to announce the death of our beloved brother Alhaji Bashir Barau Mangal Vice Chairman/ CEO Max Air in the early hours of today Friday 23rd December 2022.May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus.”

A family source disclosed that the funeral prayer for the deceased would take place in Katsina by 5.00pm today.

Bashir Mangal was a seasoned Administrator, an excellent manager of human and material resources, a consummate investor and a complete gentleman whose words are his bonds.

He was younger brother to Dahiru Barau Mangal, who is the founder of Max Air, Nigeria’s leading airline operating a domestic, regional and international flight network.

His other investments include transportation, oil and gas, and construction
