The results of the recently held mop-up examination for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations have been made public by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) (UTME).
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board’s head of public affairs and protocol, announced the results in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
In keeping with its objective to follow the government’s guidelines for ease of doing business, Mr. Benjamin claimed that the board had implemented a user-friendly and straightforward procedure for checking UTME results.
“To check the results of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Mop-Up Examination result conducted on Aug. 6, all a candidate needs to do is to simply send RESULT to 55019.
The same phone number that was used for registration will be utilised for this, and a text message will be sent with the outcome.
After connecting their email address to their profile, candidates can print their results from the board’s website at www.jamb.gov.ng, he said.
According to him, the streamlined procedure would also prevent applicants from being exploited by shady business centres and cybercafés, which frequently prey on helpless candidates.
