A fire has gutted the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), in Ibadan, the state capital.
According to reports, the fire started from the studio area and has done a lot of damage to equipment.
An eyewitness said the state fire service had been invited and that efforts were ongoing to control the situation.
“It’s true. BCOS is on fire. I cannot give you full details for now until we get the full information on how the fire started,” the source said.
The BCOS is owned by the government of Oyo state and saddled with the function of educating, enlightening, entertain,ing and disseminating information to occupants of the state and beyond.
