INEC begins uploading of Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo governorship election results on IREV (See How to Check)
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced uploading the election results of the Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi governorship election results on its INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal.
A check on the commission’s IReV portal at around 5:30 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023, showed that some results for the governorship elections results have been uploaded.
For Bayelsa, the commission has uploaded 883 polling units result out of 2242 PUs. 1809 has been uploaded for Imo out of 4720 PUs. In Kogi State, 916 polling units results have been uploaded.
The commission had said the results viewing portal is to enhance election transparency and not a result collation or transmission system.
It advised journalists and members of the public not to confuse uploading polling units’ results to the INEC Result Viewing Portal with the electronic transmission of results
Check the results of the Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi governorship elections on IRev following the steps below:
1. Login to https://www.inecelectionresults.ng/login
The link will take you to a sign-up or sign-in page.
2. Thereafter, click on “Create New Account?”, fill in your details in the form provided, and click on “Sign in”
3. You will also indicate your state of origin and click on “Continue”
4. An account activation email will then be sent to the email address you provided in the form
5. The next step is to copy the activation code, enter it into the text box provided on the portal to activate the account.
6. You will then be logged into the portal Upon successful login, you can select the election whose polling unit (PU) results you are interested in viewing.
7. You can also select the election type to view results: Presidential, Governorship, Senatorial, House of Representatives, House of Assembly, elections.
