.On Saturday, July 23, 2022, the seventh season of Big Brother Naija, one of the most popular reality TV programmes in Nigeria, is scheduled to debut.
The BBNaija season 7 premiere, like the previous season, will take place on July 23 and 24, 2022.
The introduction of the housemates will take place during the programme launch, which will be broadcast on all Africa Magic and BBNaija channels on DStv and GOtv.
By 7:00 p.m. on both days, the program’s premiere will air on GOtv channels 2, 6, and 29 and DStv channels 151, 153, 154, and 198.
The programme will then air on DStv’s channel 198 and GOtv’s channel 29 at all times.
Through the African online streaming service Showmax, fans across Africa will also be able to watch.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a media personality, is back as the program’s host for this season.
Dr. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice Nigeria, disclosed that the firm received over 40,000 audition submissions for BBNaija this season during a media briefing to announce the new season of the show.
Before entering the house this season, the housemates will go through a psychological evaluation, she noted.
Tejunmola added that the pre-COVID-19 components, such as the ninjas and the thrilling live crowd, are some of the other interesting things to look forward to this season.
Additionally, the winner of this year’s contest will get a N100m grand prize, which includes a cash award of N50m and items valued at N50m from the sponsors. Additionally, 30 viewers will win N1 million each in the “Fave Lock-In” promotion that is only available to DStv and GOtv subscribers.
She claims that as voting will only be available to active subscribers of the Big Brother Naija website, mobile site, and MyDStv and MyGOtv applications, the show will maintain its voting format from last year.
Each subscriber’s amount of votes will be based on their subscription packages.
