BREAKING: Produce buyer murdered in Ogbomoso, suspected mastermind, a relative on the run (Photo)
A produce buyer identified as Wasiu Adigun has been murdered in Ogbomoso, Oyo state. His corpse was said to have been discovered early Wednesday at his warehouse located between Kinnira and Ikose along Ikoyi road.
According to findings, the deceased who once served as chairman of produce buyers in Ogbomoso zone, got missing about three days ago, and after it was reported at the Owode Police Station, investigations began into the matter. “It was this morning that the corpse was found,” a family source informed ogbomosoinsightonline.com.
Meanwhile, a relative, whose name could not be verified as at the time of going to press and who was his subordinate in the business was suspected to be the mastermind.
“The late Wasiu brought him (the relative) from the north to assist him. He was his relative, so, he was with him, he assisted him a lot trying to set him up but when he didn’t toe the right path, he asked him to go away. So, he had left him,” the family source added.
ogbomosoinsightonline.com however learned the vehicle had been tracked to a location in Ilorin, Kwara state but the suspects had not been found.
A source at the Owode Police Station in Ogbomoso confirmed the incident informing the police has begun investigations into the suspected murder case.
