Emeka Rollas, the president of the Actors Guild Of Nigeria (AGN) has confirmed that Junior Pope is alive and receiving treatment in a hospital in Asaba, Delta.
Videos showing resuscitation attempts have also surfaced online, after a first video showing him seemingly lifeless as he was brought out of the body of water.
Earlier, it had been reported that the actor had passed away in boat accident with three of his colleagues, coming back from a movie location.
