Oriire Youth Council Organizes Pre-JAMB Quiz, Sponsors Exceptional Candidates

The Oriire Youth Council has taken a significant step in supporting senior secondary school students preparing for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by organizing a pre-JAMB quiz competition.

The initiative, designed to strengthen students’ academic readiness, attracted a large number of enthusiastic participants eager to showcase their knowledge. After a keenly contested competition, 22 outstanding students emerged as winners. As a reward, they will receive free UTME registration, fully sponsored through the generous contributions of the council’s partners and sponsors.

During the event, the chairman of the council, Hon. Sarafadeen Owonikoko, addressed the students and expressed appreciation to the sponsors for their commitment to educational development in the local government area.

Hon. Ojo Aderemi, the Honorable Member Representing Oriire Local Government at the Oyo State Youth Parliament, also spoke to the students. He highlighted the importance of academic preparation and emphasized the need to go back to the drawing board to properly prepare for the main examination, which is fast approaching.

The beneficiaries, in turn, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to make the most of the support in their pursuit of academic excellence.
