One Year Anniversary: Hon. Tolani Adigun Congratulates President Tinubu, Advocates Grassroots Development, Local Government Autonomy.
I felicitate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the entire leadership of the administration on the celebration of the one-year inauguration of the government.
No doubt the times are tough with the implementation of a couple of policies targeted towards repositioning the economy, but not without gains, steady progress, and emerging opportunities that will create an enabling environment for growth and development.
We appreciate the hard reality of the challenges that we are all facing as a nation. The government is not insensitive to the pains and enduring challenges associated with these various necessary reforms; however, the various palliative supports put in place are clear evidence and confirmation of the government’s determination to alleviate the stress induced by the reforms, which no doubt are unavoidable and very necessary to salvage the dwindling fortunes of our economy.
In the months ahead, Nigerians should be expectant of consistent and steady progress in the economy when the benefits of the various reforms begin to yield the desired results.
I salute the courage and sincerity of Mr. President on these laudable initiatives and reforms while also appreciating the endurance and resilience of Nigerians so far.
We have the sacred responsibility as a people in government and can’t afford to fail them in that regard, hence our constant involvement in providing technical input in the policy designs and implementation strategies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
I have strong confidence, as assured by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his speech marking the first anniversary of this administration, that the leadership under his watch is committed and focused with determination to ensure steady progress in nation-building is sustained without further pains in the months ahead, having endured with the administration hitherto.
A year is gone already, and there are evidences of improvements in the various sectors of the economy; thus, without any doubt, the next stage of our commitments should be to stabilise the system and emphasise the assurances of a smooth transition to vibrancy and progress of the economy in the years ahead, such that we will all witness a rebirth of our desired nation that will be the pride of all of us.
As a firm believer in the common sacred responsibility of government to make life better and more enjoyable for citizens, especially in a democratic setting like ours, we must all appreciate the endurance of Nigerians so far, and we should henceforth navigate the system to be on the path of progressive development, thereby reaping the benefits of our enduring legacies.
Furthermore, I advocate for grassroots development and local government autonomy to ensure that the benefits of these reforms reach every corner of our nation. Empowering local governments will foster more efficient and tailored development initiatives that directly address the needs of our communities.
Things can only get better now that the government has stabilised. Nigerians can rest assured that we are all concerned about being in tune with the realities of our emerging economy.
