The industrial action of the university’s Academic Personal Union (ASUU) was conditionally suspended after 242 days.
The union decided to suspend the strike during a leadership meeting that began Thursday night and lasted until the early hours of October 14, 2022.
The meeting was convened by unions to determine their next course of action after the National Association met last week on the Court of Appeals ruling.
The Court of Appeal ordered the ASUU to stay the strike before hearing an appeal against the teacher’s return-to-work order.
Members of the union’s National Executive Committee, composed of national chapter presidents and members of the National Board of Directors, attended the meeting at his ASUU National Office in Abuja.
