The Labour Party (LP) has confirmed that former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, will be its candidate in the 2027 presidential election.
Obi previously contested in 2023 but lost to President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), finishing third behind Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, LP’s National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, stated that Tinubu would face a tougher challenge in the next election.
