Declaration of Intention to Run for the Office of Director of Sports at NANS Zone D Election
I, Adedeji Ojulari Lukmon De~Dollar, with great honor and a deep sense of responsibility, declare my intention to run for the position of Director of Sports in the upcoming NANS Zone D elections. As a proud student of the best state university, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, where I am studying Computer Science and Engineering, I am passionate about leveraging sports as a tool for youth development and student empowerment.
Since my 100-level days, I have been actively coordinating sporting activities in my school, serving as Sports Director of my department and Director of Sports for the National Liberty Vanguard. These roles have equipped me with invaluable experience in managing sports events, motivating students, and ensuring smooth and successful sporting engagements. My vision is to use sports to foster unity, wellness, and personal development among students, and I am committed to making this vision a reality if elected…
My primary objectives as Director of Sports include:
1. Rejuvenating Sports Competitions: Organizing inter-university and inter-faculty sporting events that promote healthy competition and unity across campuses.
2. Talent Discovery and Development: Creating platforms where student athletes can showcase their talents, gain exposure, and excel beyond campus sports.
3. Promoting Wellness: Launching sports initiatives that promote physical fitness and mental health awareness for the overall well-being of students.
4. Facility Improvement: Collaborating with authorities to improve sports facilities and ensure students have access to quality equipment and venues.
5. Inclusivity in Sports: Making sports accessible to all, regardless of gender or ability, ensuring a truly inclusive sporting community.
