Oriire Local Government, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has embarked on a mission to address one of its most pressing challenges in the local government area, education. It’s noted that education is the key to unlocking opportunities and potential, the leadership in Oriire has taken proactive steps to inspire the younger generation and foster academic excellence.
As part of this laudable initiative, a quiz competition has been organized, aimed at motivating students to prepare adequately for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to the to Press statement made available by the Publicity Secretary of the Council, Ajadi Isaac aa noted that, Beyond the competition, participants will benefit from free JAMB registration, a gesture intended to reduce the financial burden on parents and create a level playing field for all students aspiring for higher education.
This program, designed to challenge the status quo, no doubt demonstrates the Youth Council’s commitment to nurturing academic success and ensuring that students in Oriire Local Government are well-prepared for future opportunities. By tackling this “ecological peculiarity” head-on, the initiative seeks to position students from Oriire on a higher pedestal in their pursuit of higher education.
The leadership of Oriire Youths Council, organizers of this impactful project are also calling on well-meaning individuals, corporate organizations, and leaders within and beyond Oriire Local Government to join hands in supporting this initiative. Sponsorship and donations will go a long way in ensuring the program’s success and providing a brighter future for the youth of Oriire.
It should however be noted that, this year’s edition will make it a second year in a row.
You will recall that, the Youth Council of Oriire local government organized the same a year ago, in partnership with Oriire local government, with about 20 Free JAMB Form to students, and this year’s edition will not be less, as we look up to doubling or tripling the number.
