Friday, has been declared half working day for for all public and civil servants in Oyo state.
The declaration is not unconnected with the local government poll slated for Saturday in the state.
This is according to a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Suleiman Olanrewaju, in Ibadan.
Ogbomoso Insight reports that the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) had fixed Saturday, April 27, 2024, for local government elections in the state.
The statement charged “all public and civil servants to go out and exercise their civic rights on Saturday.”
