JUST IN: Tinubu arrives in Ondo to visit Akeredolu’s family, Fasoranti and others (Video)
President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Ondo State for a condolence visit to the family of the late governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, in his Owo country home.
The Nigerian Airforce jet conveying the president and his entourage touched down at the Akure airport at exactly 11:35 am.
He was received by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his Ekiti State counterpart Biodun Oyebanji as well as top government functionaries and prominent politicians.
A presidential parade was put in place at the terminal of the airport to welcome President Tinubu to the Sunshine State.
The chairman of the of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Ade Adetimehin, led other leaders of the party in the state to welcome the President.
Some governorship aspirants were also present at the airport to receive the president.
The President is also to visit the national leader of the Pan Yoruba Socio-Political Group, Afenifere Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure, the Ondo State capital, after a visit to the Olowo of Owo Kingdom,Oba Ajibade Ogunoye.
