TON blockchain validators prepare for Hamster Kombat coin minting
TON blockchain warns validators to anticipate increased demand as Hamster Kombat expands its user base and introduces HMSTR coin minting.
The Open Network (TON) blockchain has proactively requested its validators to prepare for the onboarding of millions of users from the Web3 game Hamster Kombat, anticipating a surge in system demand.
On Sept. 25, a Telegram channel dedicated to TON validators, developers and integrators warned about an upcoming increase in bandwidth demand for its blockchain.
According to the announcement, TON validators were asked to ensure high availability as Hamster Kombat users begin minting Hamster Kombat coin (HMSTR) on the blockchain:

To ensure real-time support between Sept. 26 and 29, all TON validators have been advised to join the ‘TON Status’ Telegram channel and are expected to implement any urgent fixes or resources within one hour when directed.
Moreover, the TON validators are also asked to “constantly monitor the status of your validator and hardware during these days.”
Telegram-based game Hamster Kombat currently hosts 100 million monthly active users. The game claimed to become the third-fastest app in history to onboard and surpass 150 million users and Pokémon GO and Meta’s Threads.
