A twin explosion has killed many people in Lagos.

The explosion was caused by grenades, on Thursday.

It was gathered that the explosion rocked a scavenging site on Taiwo Street in the Idi-Araba area of Mushin Local Government, Lagos State, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to at least eight others.

Eyewitnesses said the first explosion occurred around noon, claiming the life of a scavenger who was reportedly attempting to dismantle a suspicious metallic object resembling a rocket. The impact of the blast was severe, with sources confirming the victim died instantly.

Later in the evening, a second explosion occurred around 5:00 p.m., according to another resident, Shehu Idris. The second blast caused significant damage, razing a nearby residential building and injuring more people.
