IT WAS MORE THAN A TALK, IT WAS A SPARK OF PURPOSE
On the 8th of May 2025, something transformational happened at School of Science, Oyo Town. Under the leadership of the Youth Activate Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter, we held our first-ever Career Talk and Mentorship Session 1.0 and what began as a session became a movement of hope and inspiration.
Over 200+ brilliant secondary school students gathered, not just to listen, but to dream — to see a picture of who they can become beyond the walls of the classroom. We didn’t just give them writing materials; we gave them words that write destinies. We didn’t just talk about skills; we opened real-life slots for photography and graphic design a first step into the creative industry for many of them.
To see young minds light up with questions, possibilities, and gratitude reminded us that the future of Oyo State is not in the distant tomorrow — it’s seated in classrooms today.
As youths, we must understand that impact is not about age or position, but about the willingness to serve and give back. This event is a reminder that our voices matter, our stories inspire, and our actions today echo into the future.
We are just beginning. This is only Session 1.0. Many more schools will feel this fire. Many more students will find direction through this platform. And together, we will raise a generation that not only knows who they are, but boldly pursues who they can become.
