Ogbomoso Youths and Teens showed up in their hundreds to grace the Choose Growth 2.0 Summit(Photos)

Over 300 participants was in attendance at the Choose Growth 2.0 summit organized by the Creative Raisers in Ogbomoso on 2nd of October, 2023, where edifying and thought provoking words are been spoken to hearts and to inspire actions.

“Choose Growth” is a transformative summit aimed at empowering youth and young adults with the tools, insights, and mindset necessary to achieve personal and career development. It brings together passionate individuals who are eager to embrace change, challenge their limits, and unlock their potentials while we celebrate the Nigerian Independence.

At the gathering, we had the privilege of exchanging insights with an extraordinary lineup of luminaries including Jesudamilare Adesegun David and Dr. Elijah Kolawole Oladipo as keynote speakers and other brilliant individuals who graciously shared their wisdom with us as panelists, namely Boluwatife Oyewumi, Oreoluwa Afolabi, Tobi Adela represented by (Hammed Timothy), Samson Ojo, Ifeoluwa Ayegboyin, Tolulope Quadri, Peter Adekunle and Victor Oluwayoju

Each of these esteemed individuals graciously bestowed upon us invaluable nuggets of knowledge, guiding us on a perennial journey of intentional growth. Their expertise, combined with the positive energy exuding from the entire seminar, has left an indelible mark on our hearts and ignited a relentless passion for personal and community development.

Jesudamilare Adesegun-David speaking on the act of Embracing Growth and Independence mentioned some keys which we believed would never leave the participants the same way they’ve been, some of it are as follows:

– Embrace the uncertain and Unfamiliar.⁣
⁣- Paint a very strong vision of what you want to do with independence.⁣
⁣- Develop Grit and Resilience.⁣
⁣- Embrace Interdependence, in your pursuit of independence.⁣
⁣- You can be so many things at a time and none of them will suffer for the other.
– Don’t approach relationships with a parasitic mindset. Always be ready to offer something in return.

Dr. Kolawole Oladipo gave the necessities to embracing opportunities while speaking on “Unlocking the power of intentional growth: Navigating change and embracing opportunities” he made it known that opportunities are unlimited, some of his words goes as:

– If you look for it, you will find it”.
– Look for opportunities at the right time, in the right place.
– A tree can not make a forest and that is why the tree needs other like-minded trees and not grasses to make a forest. Seek like-minded relationships.
– There’s no success in anything external. Success is in God and you.

During the first panel session, we have Boluwatife Oyewumi, Oreoluwa Afolabi, Hammed Timothy and Samson Ojo, discus extensively on the topic “Navigating Career Challenges and Cultivating a Growth Mindset”, using their life experience, challenges and breakthroughs as the basis of discussion.

The Second panel session also have Ifeoluwa Ayegboyin, Tolulope Quadri, Peter Adekunle and Victor Oluwayoju share from their wealth of knowlege and experience while they shed light on “Growth Mindset over Fixed Mindset: Overcoming Limiting beliefs for succes as the topic of discussion”

Alongside the insightful experience, the participants also enthusiastically network and make new friends.

The success of Choose Growth 2.0 is a milestone up for the Creative Raisers team as the vision is to create a thriving and ever-evolving community for young creatives in Africa.
