Ogbomoso logo: N1m for grab, for best creator

The creator of a stunning logo that best encapsulates and conveys the vision and spirit of Ogbomoso will smile home with a whopping prize of N1m (one million naira), it has been announced.

According to a flysheet circulated on social media Sunday emanating from the Committee on Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence for the 25-Year Development Plan Vision for Ogbomosoland, set up by the monarch of the town, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, brilliant, creative minds are to come up with such a logo as illustrated above.

“Calling on designers, artists, and creative minds in and from Ogbomosoland to create a symbol that will represent the spirit of Ogbomosoland for generations to come,” the flyer tagged “Ogbomoso Logo design Competition” says.

An additional information states, “We invite you to contribute talent and creativity to shape a symbol that will represent the spirit of Ogbomosoland for generations to come. This is a unique opportunity to leave your mark on the future of our beloved land by creating a lasting emblem of our culture, heritage, and vision.”

The competition it is noted is open to only “indigenes or residents of Ogbomoso,” with closing date for submission slated for a minute to midnight on November 30, 2024.

As stated, the participant with the best design will smile home with a prize of N1m while first runners up and second runners up will be rewarded with N300, 000 (three hundred thousand naira) and N200, 000 (three hundred thousand naira) respectively.

“This initiative is more than just a design project – it’s a call to unite and inspire, to craft a symbol that embodies the essence of who we are and where we are headed … Join us in this historic endeavor. Together, let’s create something timeliness,” the flysheet further calls out with resonating enthusiasm.

ogbomosoinsightonline.com reports that Oba Olaoye few months ago inaugurated nine committees including the one on IT & AI to come out with a framework to push his developmental agenda that will span 25 years.
