Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival 2025: Oba Ghandi Promises ‘Bigger, Better’ Experience, Announces New partner
The Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III is ready to build on the successes of the maiden Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival held last December.
The carnival which he initiated as part of his ambitious 25 year-development plan was a huge success attended by many sons and daughters of the town. The Minister for Culture was also represented at the carnival.
It’s planned to be an annual event. As the December date for the second edition approaches Oba Olaoye has sent a message of assurance that the edition will unfold with greater excitement and success informing that MTN is now an official partner of the carnival.
The message posted in his Facebook page, states, “My beloved sons and daughters of Ogbomoso, at home and in the diaspora, I bring you royal greetings from the throne of your ancestors.
“Last year was truly unforgettable. You came home in your numbers. You danced. You celebrated. You reconnected with your roots.
“Together, we made history with the very first Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival. From the depths of my heart — THANK YOU.”
He adds, “Now, the time has come again. And this time… It will be BIGGER. BETTER. Cradles Carnival 2025 is set to exceed every expectation!”
He notes some of the events incorporated last year would be re-enacted while promising a better experience.
“Get ready for: Pre-Carnival Events: Orumogege Football Tournament | Marathon Race | Health Talk & Outreach, Majestic Cultural Parades, Iconic Egungun Displays, Thunderous Gangan Drum Performances, The Irresistible Taste of Our Local Delicacies, Electrifying Youth Concerts, Prestigious Golf Tournament and the Glorious Celebration of Ajilete Day — the Grand Finale.”
The Oba enthuses, “We are sending a clear message to the world: OGBOMOSO IS RISING.
“And here’s the exciting news…MTN is now our official partner! Our voice is echoing far and wide — and the world is listening.”
He consequently charges indigenes and other tourism buff far and near to start planning and get ready for the next edition in December.
