National Honours: Nigerians React to Teni’s Stance on President Buhari

Nigerians accused Teni of disrespect to President Buhari after Receiving the award.
Nigerian musician Teniola Apata, better known as Teni, sparked backlash over her “disrespectful” body language towards President Mohammed Buhari at the National Honor Award ceremony on Tuesday.
Buhari said at the International Conference Center (ICC) in Abuja he awarded 447 Nigerians and foreigners national honors in various categories.
After receiving a shield of the Order of the Niger (MON) from the president, Teni rudely walked away in a manner some Nigerians consider disrespectful.
Former presidential candidate Adam Galba, while reacting to her Teni’s actions, said anyone who ignores the presidency is an illegal and ungrateful Nigerian. Teni’s response was greeted with reactions on social media as Nigerians were divided over whether to support the entertainer or not.
