A man imprisoned for 20 years on Benin Street in the center of the capital Kaduna was found Wednesday by environmental officials.
Environmental officials who found the middle-aged man told journalists on Wednesday they were genuinely shocked by the find.
According to their spokesperson, who requested anonymity, he said: “Today we came to this house looking for drinks that are normally kept in apartments without proper storage facilities. I saw a naked man locked up in a room.
“We found him in an uncomfortable position. The smell coming from the room was unbearable. “Then we broke down the room and took him out.
“We also found that he was being fed in the room. He urinates and defecates in the same room. Police were then called from Magajigari, in the heart of Kaduna Central District, and he was taken away.
