A video currently making the rounds online has captured the shocking moment a young man was discovered hiding in the ceiling of a bank after a botched robbery attempt, News360 Nigeria reports.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred at a branch of First City Monument Bank (FCMB).
The suspect allegedly sneaked into the bank premises during business hours, quietly locked himself in one of the restrooms, and later climbed into the ceiling, waiting for nightfall to carry out his plan.
However, things took an unexpected turn the next morning when bank staff arrived for work and noticed the main entrance was still locked from within. Sensing that something was wrong, they forced their way inside and soon heard strange noises coming from the ceiling.
Upon investigation, security operatives discovered the suspect hiding above the ceiling panels, allegedly attempting to tamper with the bank’s systems.
The viral video shows the suspect being forcefully dragged down, beaten, and tied up by security operatives and onlookers before being taken away.
