KWAM 1 Endorsed Ogbomoso-born Fuji Musician, Ramon Akanni As Successor

On February 27, at the final burial ceremony of the late mother of Kabiyesi Olugbon Francis Olusola Alao, held at Majesty Nature Resort in Orile-Igbon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal publicly endorsed Alhaji Ramon Akanni as his successor in the Fuji music industry.

During his praise-singing performance, KWAM 1 confirmed Ramon Akanni, an Ogbomoso-born Fuji musician, as the only artiste following in his footsteps and style of music. He prayed for Ramon’s success and sprayed him with money, symbolizing his blessings and endorsement.

KWAM 1 emphasized that just as he had received blessings from his mentor, the late Alhaji (Dr.) Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, which had a positive impact on his career, he was now passing on the baton of Fuji music to Ramon Akanni.

Although, the Fuji music industry has been abuz with claims and counterclaims regarding the late Ayinde Barrister’s endorsement of Wasiu Ayinde as his successor. But, there is no doubt, King Wasiu Ayinde remains a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

As a matter of fact, the power of prayers and blessings from a master to his protégé cannot be overstated. In Islam, Christianity, and African traditional religion, prayer is a channel through which we communicate with God. The prayers of Barrister for Wasiu Ayinde were answered, and it is likely that Wasiu Ayinde’s prayers for Ramon Akanni will also be fulfilled.

Ramon Akanni’s style of singing is remarkably similar to King Wasiu Ayinde’s, and he is widely regarded as one of the most talented Fuji musicians in Nigeria. With a career spanning over four decades, Ramon Akanni has carved a niche for himself in the industry and is an asset to the Fuji music entertainment industry.
