JUST IN: PDP leader, Prince Lasisi Oladimeji Emerges New Oba of Iranyin, Ogbomoso

The leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Surulere local government area of Oyo state, Prince Lasisi Olagbemileke Oladimeji Omogboye, has been approved as the new Aranyin of Iranyin, Star Potter Reports.

According to a letter signed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Olusegun Olayiwola, the appointment takes effect from October 20.

Titled, “Re: Filling of vacant stool of Aranyin of Iranyin,” the letter states, “I wish to refer to the above subject and inform you with pleasure that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. ’Seyi Makinde has graciously approved your appointment as the New Aranyin of Iranyin in Surulere Local Government Area with effect from 20th October, 2023.”

The letter wishes the new Aranyin a successful reign that will witness peace, progress and socio-economic growth being ignited in Surulere local government area.
The Aranyin stool became vacant following the demise of Oba Jimoh Oyelota.

Meanwhile, the date for the formal installation of Prince Oladimeji is yet to be fixed by the family as congratulatory messages pour in for the Ogbomoso-based veteran politician.
