Former Oyo Governor, Ladoja Loses Wife
A former Oyo State governor and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, is bereaved over the demise of his wife, Tinuade Ladoja.
She died on Monday morning at the age of 71, following a brief illness.
Adeola Oloko, the media aide to former Governor Ladoja, confirmed her death in a telephone interview with Punch in Ibadan, the state capital.
“Yes, it is confirmed. She is dead. May God repose her soul,” Oloko stated.
Until her passing, Tinuade Ladoja was an influential figure within the Celestial Church of Christ, serving as a prominent member of the Pastor-in-Council, the highest decision-making body of the church.
Her contributions to the church community were well-recognized and respected.
The CCC Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, where she regularly attended, also confirmed her death in a heartfelt post on its Facebook page, mourning the loss of a cherished member.
In the Facebook post, the church wrote, “It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
“We submit to His will. #farewell.”
