The 15th edition of the annual Ogbomoso Interdenominational Christmas Carol & Nine Lessons is scheduled to hold on December 21.
The event initiated by the late former governor of Oyo state, Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, 15 years ago, annually holds at his compound – Opadoyin Akala Lodge, Randa, Ogbomoso. It will start 4:30pm.
According to a statement by Rev’d Niyi Adebayo, who is the facilitator, from inception, the theme of this year’s Carol is “Emmanuel.”
The clergyman,.the lead pastor of True Worshipers Church, Oke-Anu, said the event would draw a large number of people, while urging that all prospective attendees should be seated by 4:00pm.
The carol has become very important with many marking it their calendar of activities for the end of the year.
Recall the event was put off last year following a fire incident that broke out in the late governor ‘s residence.
