6 Things You Need To Know About Acting APC Chairman

Unknown to many people, the acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Moshood Olayide Abas, has some attributes that many people, especially those of his party did not.

The ratification of his names as replacement for Isaac Omodewu, the late chairman of the party, came few hours ago after an emergency State Executive Committee meeting which took place today (Monday) at the Oke-Ado State Secretariat of the party. Abas was until his announcement the deputy state chairman of the party.

Olawale Sadare, spokesperson of the party, who confirmed the development in a press statement, said Abas’ appointment was constitutional.

“Following the transition of our former state chairman, Barr. Isaac Omodewu, the Constitution of our great Party has placed on us an onus to fill the vacuum by elevating the Deputy State Chairman to the post of Acting Chairman and this is exactly what the State Executive Committee did at an emergency meeting earlier today. The new acting chairman belongs to the category of the leaders of the Progressives with an intimidating track record of service as a professional and a politician.
